New Demo CD

Recently we released Demo CDs with new publications for Marching Bands (Drumfanfare), Marching Percussion Ensembles (Malletband/Drumband) and Concert Percussion Ensembles. If you are a band director, conductor or instructor you can order these demo CDs free of charge to fill up this form.

Now available at Show & Marching Music: Ai Se Eu Te Pego by Michel Teló. This famous song from the Brazilian singer Michael Teló, arranged for (Marching) Percussion Ensemble by Dirkjan van Groningen, is leading the European hit charts for weeks already.

“Custom” Percussion Ensemble Arrangements

Recently the CMH Percussion Ensemble celebrated their 12,5th anniversary with successful concerts in Hattem and Emmeloord. Most pieces for these concerts were especially arranged for this occasion by Show & Marching Music arranger and musical leader of the ensemble: Dirkjan van Groningen.

European YouTube Drumline Competition 2012

Just like last year we are organizing a European YouTube Drumline Competition again. This unique online competition is open for drumlines from all European countries and is going to judged by James Campbell. Mr. Campbell is the director of percussion studies at the university of Kentucky in Lexington (USA) and is well know from his work for the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. The competition is organized in corporation with Row-loff Productions and Pro-Mark Drumsticks.

Show & Marching Music Audio Productions

Show & Marching Music Audio Production is the department of our company which is specialized in (live) recordings from different types of bands and ensembles. In the coming period we are producing a demo CD for the cover band Jimmy’s Thunderbox and we are going to record a CD with choir “De Koor” for their project “Bruggen”. During the opening act from the “Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel” one of our staff members will provide sound engineering for the opening act. Snare Drum Basic Completely Revised!

Recently we revised the books in our Snare Drum Basics Series. For all books we designed a new cover and all accompaniment CDs have been completely renewed with the help of Virtual Drumline and the Roland RMP-12 digital snare drum. Viva La Vida For Marimba

Now available at Show & Marching Music the arrangement of Maikel2Play (a.k.a. Maikel van de Boomen) for solo marimba from Coldplay's Viva La Vida. The Dutch percussionist Maikel van den Boomen is well known from his percussion movie clips on YouTube, in which he plays all the instruments by himself. The video of Viva La Vida has more than 180.000 views already. This special arrangement is only available as a download.

New: Recital Pieces For Mallets

We recently published a new book entitled: Recital Pieces For Mallets. The book is written by the Dutch percussionist Marco Onstenk and contains a lot of useful classical pieces for the beginning mallet player. In terms of building rhythms the book is very similar to our Snare Drum Basics method book and the structure of keys is very logical. A must for anyone who’s serious with melodic percussion!
